About these terms

These terms govern your use of ScaleupKickstarter, operated by hibretOne, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

ScaleupKickstarter is a free business diagnostic. You describe your business through a short conversational intake, and we generate a growth-readiness score together with a report that may include analysis such as a SWOT, a business canvas, a view of competitors, a growth plan, and suggested next steps. Your results are saved to your account. hibretOne also operates a separate platform with its own terms.

Results are illustrative, not advice

The score, report, and any suggestions are illustrative and are intended as general guidance to help you think about your business. They are not financial, legal, investment, or professional advice, and they are generated in part by AI, which can be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for your own decisions. Before acting on anything in your report, consider seeking advice from a suitably qualified professional.

Acceptable use

When using ScaleupKickstarter, you agree not to:

• Break any applicable law, or infringe the rights of others.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, or that you have no right to share.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Use the service to build a competing product, or to scrape or harvest data at scale.

Accounts and the free and paid model

ScaleupKickstarter is in early access. There is no self-serve sign-up: when you ask for a demo, we create your account for you, and you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. The diagnostic is free to use. Paid plans (Founder and Enterprise) are in development, and any price will be published on our pricing page before you are charged anything.

Intellectual property

The ScaleupKickstarter name, the app, its design, and its underlying software are owned by hibretOne or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. The business details you enter remain yours, and you grant us the permission needed to process them so we can generate and store your diagnostic. The report we produce is provided for your own use.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result will be accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, hibretOne is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its results, including any business, financial, or investment outcome. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the service or the law. When we do, we will update the date above. Your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
